Vikings heavy metal lords Amon Amarth are coming to Sofia for a concert as part of their Great Heathen Tour world tour on 29th of June at Arena Sofia at the invitation of Fest Team. Tickets go on sale on 22 February at ticketstation.bg.

SOFIA SOLID is a new exciting event series with a variety of international artists from different genres of rock, metal, indie, alternative, electronic and pop music, which is going to be launched this summer under the brand Fest Team for the residents and guests of the capital. The potential of SOFIA SOLID is clear by the strong and definite opening event - the concert by the Swedish super heroes - the Vikings Amon Amarth.

Formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, Amon Amarth have forged an extraordinary legacy of thunderous, metal anthems rich in magical imagery from Viking history, folklore and culture over three decades. The band is among the most beloved metal acts worldwide, especially by fans in this country. Amon Amarth have twelve albums and thousands of gigs under their belt, have headlined some of the biggest music festivals around the world and have a huge fan following.

Armed with their 12th and arguably finest album to date, Amon Amarth are poised to return to full action with a bloody, broadsword-wielding vengeance. The release of The Great Heathen Army will kick-start another relentless global campaign, commencing with an European tour through Sofia, Bulgaria on the 29th of June.
